IECEx Certified Cable Glands for International Market.
IECEx Certification scheme eliminates the need of multiple national certificates in order to facilitate international trade in electrical cable glands made for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. For the IEC scheme to achieve its goal, each and every national standard will be needed to be similar to their respective IEC standard. To allow time for taking part in IECEx scheme, a transition period will be needed for the IECEx scheme countries to align their respective national certifications with that of IEC standards and they should work towards national acceptance of IECEx Certificates of Conformity and the IECEx mark.
